Optimistic mode :) -Daily Goals-

 Hey, everyone!

Today, I wanted to do a blog as something happened I want to share with you, (nothing bad, I promise!) Speaking to someone very inspirational at lunch, I realised something that, for some reason, made my day that little bit better.

It was a little weird, actually, how it happened, but I\’m glad it did. I don\’t know how long I\’ll be in this mood but I wanted to write this whilst I was feeling very optimistic. (Even if It does come at the expense of my Spanish lesson.) So, long story short…

A close friend of mine and I needed something to talk about, I suggested it partly because I wanted our friendship to be back in sync and on it\’s old, easier ground, and also because I felt like talking about one person way too much was a little old (-and a bit stalkerish, right?) I had also stated how slightly boring and uneventful my life currently is during lunch hour, and that\’s when It clicked.

Chilling out outside, we started making a list of how to make our lives more interesting, to be honest, we didn\’t get very far and our ideas were vague, like \”Talk to nice people\” vague. But it started something. Throughout lunch, we started talking about goals, because in my mind, someone \”interesting\” has the following things:

1) Passions and skills

2) A Social Life

3) GOALS.

So we started making our own goals, and at first, they were pretty far-out, like \”Be prettier\” -and let\’s face it, who IS pretty these days? There are definitely people who come close, but is someone the definition of pretty? Hm… But I got to the idea of maybe trying to work on those quirks to become a \”better\” person. -I decided on a simple, easy-to-do in one day goal.

Say Hi to someone who i wouldn\’t normally talk too-

So, after lunch, on my way to Spanish (that I\’m now In) I said a quick Hi to people who I haven\’t spoken to in AGES, and i found it wasn\’t that awkward or hard for me, and I actually got a \”Hi\” in response. This simple acknowledgement, that simple fact i\’d reached my daily goal, was seriously a good feeling, and I feel that one step closer to being someone better, and someone i want to be, quirks and all.

What about you? -Try setting yourself a simple daily goal, something you can achieve throughout the day, it doesn\’t have to be MAJOR, it can be like mine, a simple \”Hello\”.

It makes all the difference!

See you soon, I\’m off to make a goal for tomorrow, AND i better get back to my Spanish lesson, I need to translate \”People decorate their houses with ghosts and witches\” -Yes, we\’re doing halloween!

See you soon 🙂

Pleasing everyone.

Ok, so I know a LOT of bloggers have different types of content, like me, for example, Gaming, vlogging, Pokemon, harry potter series, and Max & Harvey…Possibly even more! I\’m into loads of stuff, which seems great…. Until You have that dilemma of pleasing every single person/fan with your content.

There\’s nothing WRONG with posting all those kinds of content because I LOVE every single one of the things mentioned in the list! However, it\’s pretty obvious, and again, there\’s nothing wrong with this, not everyone does. Not everyone is into the exact same things I am. The point is

We\’re all different.
but that\’s where it becomes complicated.

To put it simply, people follow and subscribe to you because of your content. a specific type of content, to be exact. Maybe they\’re into your gaming videos or harry potter series, rather than Max and Harvey or Pokemon. SO, that\’s what makes finding something to post really difficult. Because some people, including myself, are the type of person who wants to please everyone. To keep people happy and to keep followers, I can\’t be the only one who feels a little downhearted when your follower count goes from 410 to 409.  I feel like: I was a 410, why do I need to go backwards? Down? Then I worry every time I post if someone will unfollow me. So I try to please everyone again. -It\’s a vicious cycle.

But the thing is you can\’t please everyone.

If every time I post or upload a photo, or maybe a vlog, or basically every single type of video I love and try get every franchise I like in there all in one go, or even try to mention them all in a single video, that would be exhausting. I\’d just end up hating everything I\’m supposed to \”Like\” -Imagine wearing harry potter clothes, whilst drawing pokemon, talking about Max and Harvey. It\’d be a mess! It suddenly becomes a lot of effort to please everyone, and if I do say so myself, a lot of WASTED effort. It wouldn\’t bring me the happiness YouTube does anymore because I\’d spend my time with this worry of pleasing everyone. Every hate comment would send me into this downward spiral. And I\’d feel useless. Then it happens All over again

Surely I\’m not the only one, here!

But my advice is this: Don\’t worry about pleasing EVERYONE, please yourself first and foremost, Think: Would this make ME happy?  Why do I like this? If so, then that should be good enough for people who truly care about you, and your content. And if that doesn\’t help:

Another thing is to treat every unfollow as what it is. Finding the people who like YOU, just for YOU! If you feel a little down-hearted about the numbers decreasing, (who wouldn\’t?!) Just get into the habit of thinking. \”Hey, That\’s one less person I have to please!\” Even if it doesn\’t get you that follow back, it should keep the fire going to drive you to create the best content for YOU, that everyone who cares will enjoy.

Because at the end of the day. If YOU\’RE not Happy, NOBODY\’S happy!

and Remember, Your content is what you should care about! Just do YOU!

Perfection, and when things just aren\’t.

There are moments in everyone\’s life when everything is good. Going smoothly, too smoothly, in fact, Basically, just Really well. everyone has those moments, the ones, frankly, which are too good to last.

But what happens when you go through a rough patch?

Where things are starting to head downhill, slowly but surely. and All you can do is watch it. Looking back at what was and what it IS. I mean, that\’s off-putting to anyone. The Memories of the little specks of glory, and then turning to face the fading sparks that you feel.

Someone once said: Perfection is this line, this straight line, Our lives constantly go up and down, occasionally hitting this one line, those tiny moments of glory. But we can\’t ever stay there, because before you know it, life moves again.

Pretty deep, huh? But I feel like it\’s true. People say \”Nothing is perfect\”  but I disagree. Perfection is as unique as a fingerprint, if you\’re a gymnast, perfection is preforming and getting a gold medal at the Olympics, if your a YouTuber, like me, it\’s having your content watched and acknowledged by millions. If you a writer, perfection is holding the very first copy of your book in your hands…

Before I go rambling, the last thing I want to say is this.

When things aren\’t perfect, like, you\’ve had a injury, your views aren\’t what they once were, you have writer\’s block.

Look back

Look back at those moments when your life did hit the line, maybe landing a sweet double twist, or knowing that the views are skyrocketing, having written the one gripping passage that you love.

And then look ahead

I don\’t mean at the fading specks. when your life and \”the line\” are parallel, I mean after that time, when the line moves. Because it will (Believe me, if it didn\’t, life would constantly be boring, sure it\’d be \”perfect\” But in a way, it would just be the new normal)

So, do all you can to change the line, and stay strong, because if you truly love something, the downs are balanced out by the ups. Or even exceeded. So, stick with it, and keep going. Even if you are forced to watch those sparks fade.

Because sparks never die 😉

Surviving ONLINE school!

Heya,

Sorry I haven\’t posted in a while! I hope your all staying safe, as always! 🙂 Today\’s blog is about how to survive virtual school. So a lot of us right now are having online lessons due to isolation and social distancing, which can be a good and bad thing, though we\’re still being productive, learning and getting work done, I can\’t be the only child who gets easily bored and distracted sitting at a computer or phone screen 5 hours a day, 5 days a week. So, I\’m here with some advice on how to get through your lessons! (Also, actually taking part in your lesson is a good way to keep focused!)

1) Stay focused as long as humanly possible. Ok, although the average attention span in 7 seconds, (and I WISH our lessons were that short sometimes -imagine!) It is VERY tempting to open a new tab and listen to your favourite music, scroll through Instagram… But do your best, -just getting through a lesson NOT opening Instagram for the whole time is an achievement!

2) Use your breaks for… actual breaks! When you get time off, turn off your screens and just take it easy for a bit. Personally, I grab a snack from the fridge, put my phone on charge and head upstairs to relax, I re-do my hair, a little bit of exercise, and read a book or practise my keyboard/guitar. Since your online a LOT, it\’s best to have an actual break and not do something \”Virtually\” So find your own way to unwind for a bit! -Breaks ARE there for a reason! Once your back to lessons, you should feel just a LITTLE bit more energized. At least until you find it\’s your least favourite lesson next. *Groan*

3) Get some SLEEP! Ah, my favourite word. If you, like me, need to be up by 8:40 for your first lesson, then sleep is JUST what the doctor ordered. You don\’t want to go through your day grumpy, annoyed and sleep-deprived. Trust me! (It makes point 1 almost impossible!!) I know most people stay up till 1AM, (At least!) I highly recommend getting a decent nights sleep before online school

4) If you don\’t want to talk, listen! -You don\’t HAVE to answer every question right off the bat, but remember that online school is JUST as important as offline school, so even if you don\’t want to talk, at least do tip number one? -Just remember that you don\’t have to speak if you don\’t want to, -there IS a chat function too 🙂 so do whatever you feel means that you are involved in the lesson, even if that is just typing a single response every now and then, or even braving unmuting for a second.

And that\’s all for now! I hope they were helpful-ish! Stay safe, everyone! x -I\’d love to hear your experiences in the comments below 🙂 Online school is rough, repetitive but it can also be helpful and a teeny bit fun! Do you have any tips? Let me know!

Bye for now,

Looking after your fans!

Hey, guys! Bit of a quick blog today 🙂

As someone who wants to become famous, it\’s best to start looking after your fans from the start! What I mean by this is: Showing that they MEAN something to you. That you care about them. People are more likely to follow someone who appreciates them, so try to include them as much as possible! Below, I\’ve listed some things to help you get started

Here are my tips:

1) Every so often, I go an Instagram story with a list of followers for people to follow, this ALWAYS leads to a positive response from them, and it makes ME feel nice, too! It\’s super easy and it also means you have content, 3 birds with 1 stone

2) Do shoutout videos. -Simply acknowledging them is really important -You don\’t have to do whole videos, maybe at the start/end of an upload -this also encourages engagement from fans, too!

3) call them by a \”Group\” names, like Jayden Bartels\’ \”jaybaes\”, and max and harvey\’s \”Millsies\”, I call my fans part of the \”infinite-wolf-gamer studio squad :)\” -Yeah… um, not a lot to work with here! With my channel name and all… But It\’s really fun to do, and It makes your fans feel like part of something.

that\’s all for now! Hope to see you soon 🙂

Isolation: Day 2

Afternoon, My lovely readers!

Today was, in one word: Meh. I guess it could have been a LOT worse, so today was regular, more keyboard practice, hanging off the stair bannisters for as long as possible (30 seconds) reading, watching some TV. Yup, pretty much identical as yesterday.

However, we also made masks -surgical style masks, not the paper mache kind- because why not? It was fun except I pricked myself with a needle a dozen times (Hey, I could have been sleeping beauty and slept through this pandemic..?!) Anyway, as you can tell, I\’m DESPERATE for things to do. Even sewing and I\’m terrible at it…

I\’m actually EXCITED about the online homework I\’ll be getting tomorrow. Yes, I repeat, EXCITED! But anyway, I hope your days have been more productive than mine!

Dealing with Drama (on AND offline)

Hey, guys today I want to talk about the drama you know what I mean. The kind that happens pretty much every day.

I thought I\’d give you some tips on how to deal with it yourself and please remember not to get too carried away it\’s very easy to make things worse
So number one: realise the cause of the drama and try to fix it. this can sometimes be extremely hard especially if it\’s been going on for ages but try to think about it before you end up doing something you might regret. if you can\’t remember then it\’s probably not worth fighting over anymore.
Don\’t take it out on someone else. if you are going through a really annoying and trashy day then it\’s really easy to take your anger out on someone else that doesn\’t deserve it. It can also be super upsetting and you just feel worse about everything. so instead surround yourself by your friends and people that make you feel good about yourself and if the person who is causing all the drama happens to turn up try to avoid them as much as possible.
Don\’t get carried away it\’s extremely easy to lose your temper over text because you can\’t see the person\’s reaction so before sending or saying anything I know people say this a lot but try putting yourself in the other person\’s shoes for a few seconds then say what you want to say and if it isn\’t going to make things better it\’s best not to say anything at all.
And if you are being bullied don\’t react who am I kidding it is super hard not to give a reaction but I guess sometimes it is the best option so to all of those who are dealing with drama both online and off don\’t forget that there are people who will help and your friends are always there to help
That\’s all for now! If YOU have any tips I\’d love to hear them! Comment below 🙂

The Achievements?

Now, I\’m sure a lot of you will know how it feels to be proud, Y\’know, when you get an award or something really cool happens to you.

I know I was proud when I saw myself on TV for the first time, scored 16/20 for my essay on an English exam, got 100 subscribers and got joint highest in the class on a science exam.

It feels great! It feels like you\’ve out-done everyone and all your work pays off because of the results that you wanted, however sometimes, people can\’t see how much work you put into things, For my tests, I revised my socks off, I had to wait just over a year to get those 100 subscribers, I had to focus on every detail for the video I sent it to appear on TV, all of these are time-consuming and REALLY off-putting. Motivation is super hard, though this has little relevance, I thought I\’d flex my french skills. En general, j\’aime le sport, parce que c\’est dificil por me motiver. (That\’s a phrase I learnt in french, In general i like sports, but it is difficult to motivate myself. I think it is, anyway)

During the process, it can seem like the reward isn\’t enough, all the effort you put in JUST to get 100 subscribers? And when the reward seems far away, I\’m not the first to say I\’d give up. Because I would. Time is precious and if you really commit to something, Rewards play a HUGE role in your commitment.

I guess this was a pretty weird post, but all I\’m trying to say is: Remember why your doing something, and DON\’T give up so easily 🙂

Wishing you a great new year -Good luck on those resolutions, especially the food ones 😉

Ideas to Inspire

Hey guys! Thank you for your patience, it\’s been ages since my last post. So I\’m back, don\’t worry guys nothing much happened. So today I want to talk to you about coming up with ideas. For anything really, a school project, a song, a YouTube video or Instagram post. So, A lot of you probably want to know how to come up with killer ideas.

Use inspiration! If you\’re inspired with something or someone, then use those ideas! If they do something a certain way, why not try it for yourself? However, keep within the copyright guidelines, and remember that you are also your own person! You\’re you for a reason!

Improve! Use what you have and find ways to make it better! If you want a way to make something easier, come up with a way to do it! For example. instead of having links for people to copy and paste, make them so people can click on them, or instead of having a link to one thing, set up a link to Linktree that has them all! (This may be confusing, but basically, make what there is better!)

Base it on what\’s popular: Ok, so has everyone heard of fidget spinners? OK, so the fidget CUBE is based on that idea, isn\’t it? Because fidget spinners were trending, people came up with something better, and this is what you should do, base it off what\’s trending, for example, if cat videos are popular, come up with a way to get a cat in your next post. etc.

NOTE IT DOWN: First and foremost, write your ideas down because you never know if you\’ll forget a super good idea if you\’re distracted! Keep a notebook with you in case inspiration strikes! I have one by me so if I have an idea during the night, I can write it down -this has happened so much I\’ve learnt to write in the dark! haha

and that\’s it, I\’m afraid, I hope these are useful because I really want to see what you guys come up with 🙂
